JavaOne 2007 Papers accepted!

J1Two papers submitted by Java Champions Rom Feria and JP Petines got accepted for this year’s JavaOne 2007 Conference in San Francisco, CA, USA.

“Java Technology Educators’ Panel” and “The JEDI Open Courseware Project: Taking Java Where It Matters Most” were so compelling that the JavaOne Program Committee decided to accepted both. I may be wrong but these may be the first Filipino JavaOne sessions in the history of JavaOne. :)

The question now is – who will be sponsoring the fare and accommodation of the two Filipino Java Champions?

JEDI at PSITE National Convention 2007

I am finally back from Baguio and whilst I will miss the climate there, I am glad that I am home. :)

Anyway, here’s a photo of the JEDI team.

JEDI Night 2

I am writing this from Camp Joh Hay since the entire JEDI team transferred hotels for safety reasons.

Anyway, I just took a shower and resting for a few minutes before the party starts. We’ll be leaving in a few minutes to parteeeehh.

Watch out for our pictures.

JP Petines and Rom Feria, Java Champions and JEDI Champions, arrived in Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines, to celebrate Year 2 of JEDI.

Expect more entries from Baguio soon – I am glad that wifi works here in the hotel.
